Meet Amy

Inspired by the wild beauty of Cornwall, Amy creates art that captures the textures, colours, and stories of nature. Whether through painting, photography, or textiles, her work reflects her love for the land, the sea, and the ever-changing seasons.

Amy is wearing a blue jacket and brown hiking boots sitting on a rocky, grassy coastline, sketching or drawing on a notebook with the ocean in the background.

Although Amy has faced challenges with dyslexia, dyscalculia, and anxiety; creativity has been a helpful tool for finding balance and expressing herself.

Amy and her family have lived in Cornwall for many years, a born-and-bred local, Amy can often be found by the coast with her sketchbook, or spending time in beautiful woodlands with her dog Benji!

“I love taking walks along the Cornish beaches, beach-combing for sea glass and shells, always finding fresh inspiration for my artwork. I also enjoy exploring woodlands, capturing the beauty of the changing seasons and the rich colours and textures that fuel my creativity.”

Amy’s Style

Amy loves to work in a diverse range of mediums, sometimes even combining styles to create mixed-media pieces: from watercolours, to fine line drawings, acrylic to lino prints, photography and even textiles!

She captures moments of inspiration in whatever form speaks to her, bringing each piece to life with her creative touch.

    WATERCOLOUR

Watercolour is one of my favourite mediums to work in, I particularly enjoy line and wash and its loose and expressive quality it. My commission pieces

  • Spools of colorful thread in green, blue, pink, purple, beige, and grey.

    TEXTILES

Textiles to me is very diverse; I like quilting, weaving, embroidery and also ordinary sewing too. I adore fabrics and enjoy looking for vintage fabrics, such as embroidered tablecloths, napkins and handkerchiefs. These unique textiles inspire me to create beautiful art, which I hope others will love too.
