Inspired by nature, this card pack contains the card design “Through the Cornish hedge”, which was taken from a hand carved lino print, and painted in with watercolour, and features an adorable harvest mouse clinging on to a dandelion clock, with beautifully created autumnal and other plants.
Perfect for any occasion, this unique greetings card showcases “Kingfisher and his dinner”. It is painted in acrylic and depicts a graceful kingfisher flying out of the water holding a little fish, surrounded by sparkling droplets of water.
I loved drawing this design “Elephant in fine liner” because as I was drawing with the fine liner, I could gradually see the elephants’ prominent features come to life. I wanted to highlight the various tones of this majestic animal, from dark to light, to show the structure and the muscles.
Lastly, my “Barn owl mosaic” card is taken from an original collage using beautiful golds and whites. This card is made from tiny pieces of patterned card, all pieces were cut by hand, and is displayed on a black background, as a contrast against the feathers.
